Amtrak is running at restricted speed on main one after passing the crossovers known as Tamarack. This was part of a six-train traffic jam due to problems with power switches.

The Empire Builder has just passed the x-overs known as Tamarack and is five miles from a station stop in Columbus.

CP's 277 train often gets DME/ICE/leasor power and today a green leader stands out against the snow at last light.

The 8640 throttles up as the second train of three to pass in 30 minutes. They have to get out of the way with Amtrak 7 already in Milwaukee, hot on on their heals.

The first of three west bounds stacked up waiting to head into the sunset. An equipment problem with the eastbound 198 allowed things to get backed up. No complaints with 3 trains in 30 minutes.
